Editorial Policy

Procedure and cost content is drafted by our editorial team and reviewed by a licensed physician before it is published. That review is a publication gate, not a formality: a procedure page does not exist on this site until its content has been written and reviewed. We would rather show you nothing on a procedure than show you something we have not checked.

We are building this library now, which means many procedures in our taxonomy do not yet have a page. That is deliberate. An empty or padded-out medical page is worse than an honest absence.

Educational content is general information, never medical advice, and it is never a substitute for a consultation with a physician who has examined you. See our medical disclaimer.

Our rule is that a claim is either verifiable or it does not appear.

• Credentials are verified, never assumed. A board certification is displayed only after our team has confirmed it in the issuing board's own public registry, and the badge names that board and the date we checked it. An unverified claim is not shown as “pending” — it is not shown at all. See how verification works.
• Cost ranges are ranges, not quotes. Where we publish typical costs, they describe what patients commonly pay, not what you will be charged. We do not estimate figures we cannot source, and an absent cost range means we do not have one worth publishing.
• We do not invent content. No fabricated ratings, no invented testimonials, no fictional practices. Sample listings used to demonstrate the product are labelled “Demo” wherever they appear.
• We distinguish plastic surgery from cosmetic surgery. We list practitioners from several boards and we always name the board rather than using “board certified” as an unqualified phrase. We state whether a board is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties as a matter of fact, without editorialising.

Every review is checked against our review guidelines before it is published, and published as written — we do not rewrite or soften review content. A practice may respond to a review. A practice may never remove one, and may never pay to have one removed, suppressed, or promoted.

Where we display ratings sourced from Google, they are fetched live from Google's own service at the moment you view the page and shown unmodified with Google's attribution. We do not scrape, store, cache, average, or adjust third-party ratings.

Practices can pay us for a subscription, and that is how the directory is funded. Here is precisely what payment does and does not buy.

Payment never affects: the order of organic search and browse results; review scores or which reviews appear; whether a credential is verified, or how prominently a verification badge is displayed; the clean, followed link to a practice's own website, which is earned by verification and available on the free tier forever.

Payment buys: display of profile content the practice has already given us, delivery of consultation requests into their own systems, and promoted placement. Promoted placement is always labelled as such, everywhere it appears. If you cannot tell whether something is paid, that is a defect — tell us.

We also sell marketing services to some practices outside this platform. Buying them has no effect whatsoever on a practice's position in this directory.

If a credential, address, name, or piece of educational content on this site is inaccurate, email support@yournewbloom.com and tell us what is wrong. We correct factual errors as soon as we can confirm the correct information from a primary source — for credentials, that means the issuing board's registry rather than the practice's assurance.

Physicians and practices may also claim their listing to keep their own information current.

This directory exists to be useful to patients. When a change would earn more revenue but make the site less trustworthy, we do not make it. That is the whole basis on which we ask you to believe anything else on this page — and the reason the commitments above are published where you can hold us to them.
